“Dear TUE employee and/or student,
What happens to the quality of education and research at universities when student numbers rise and government funding per student drops?
University education and scientific research are currently under great pressure due to substantial long-term cutbacks and a rapid increase in student numbers. WOinActie (supported by the VSNU, executive boards of all the universities in the Netherlands, LSVb, and more) unites all universities in resisting this trend by presenting the following three demands:
Abolishment of the efficiency cuts of 183 million euros.
Restoration of the government funding to the level of 2000.
Abolishment of the lumpsum cut of 19 million euros.Join the strike next week on March 15th (12:00, Malieveld, The Hague) to fight for the quality of your education and research!
With kind regards,
A concerned researcher,
Luuk van Iperen
TUE representative for WOinActie”
