Former President Donald Trump has claimed that he would be able to bring an end to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war “within 24 hours” if he were still president. In an all-caps post on Truth Social on Thursday, Trump argued that his negotiation skills would easily resolve the conflict.
He also stated that the war “would never have happened” if he had not been defeated by President Joe Biden in 2020. Trump also wrote that “if president, I would be able to negotiate an end to this horrible and rapidly escalating war within 24 hours.”
He further added that the war is a “such a tragic waste of human life!!!”
Additionally, In an earlier post on Truth Social, Trump had warned that the Biden administration’s plan to send 31 M1A1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine could lead to a potential nuclear response from Russia. He also said that ending the war, which is now in its 12th month, would be “easy.”
