”Actor Sam Lloyd, known for playing hangdog lawyer Ted Buckland on NBC’s Scrubs, has been diagnosed with cancer.
According to a GoFundMe campaign page, doctors diagnosed Lloyd, 55, with inoperable cancer in January after discovering a brain tumor that had metastasized from his lungs. The news came just weeks after Lloyd and his wife, Vanessa, welcomed their first child.
The GoFundMe campaign was launched by Scrubs producer Tom Hobert and his wife. Other members of the Scrubs cast and crew, including creator Bill Lawrence and stars Zach Braff and Kate Micucci, have tweeted their support for Lloyd, encouraging others to donate.”
